After a few years with three column Digg, I decided to renew the web site with Bushwick, and an even more direct request for people to read my stories.

Now that I’m using a web front page instead of a blog front page, I needed a theme that looked less blog-like.

Not that I won’t be blogging, but I do want to promote my stories. I have two new ones on the way this year at two great sites, and I want to do them justice at this end.

The new portfolio style themes looked tempting but were too expensive, so I opted for a free one that had a full screen, a large header, and space to make magazine cover links.
