Minimalist Beach Fun. A contradiction in terms of course. Given a beach full of people on a hot day, is it possible that a simple, unfussy image can convey anything remotely Zen-like?
This shot was constantly spoilt by the pedalo turning face on, or no people, or too many people or someone standing in front. And even at 1/4000th the colour was washed away in a haze so I had to cheat slightly with PSE to bring back my trademark yellow. And as for that horizon, you know I hate to fiddle.
Martin Parr influence here, although I’d rather people kept out of my photos at all times thank you just in case they’re not supposed to be together. As for that tiny dot in the distance, that’s an endurance swimmer who stopped to smile for the camera.http://www.saatchionline.com/iandsmith
